About ECO Flooring UK

Eco Flooring UK was founded in 2008 by Jim Sanderson when he realised that hundreds of square metres of amazing quality solid wood flooring was being removed from demolition sites and literally thrown away to landfill. Through sheer drive, ambition and his natural talent for all things wood, Jim determined that he would create and design beautiful floors from the salvaged wood.

In 2011 the Channel 4 producers approached Jim to take part in the extremely popular programme "Beeny's Restoration Nightmare", where the expert property developer and presenter Sarah Beeny attempts save a near derelict listed Georgian stately home (Rise Hall) and open it up as a luxury events venue.
Eco Flooring’s role was to work along side Sarah and the other invited trades to see if the fabric of the building including the flooring could be saved and restored.
With Jim’s professional yet sympathetic approach to restoration it soon became clear that not only could the flooring be restored, the flooring was brought back to life with stunning effect! As if this was not enough, Jim and Eco Flooring then went onto install reclaimed oak parquet flooring in the bathroom areas, which fully complimented the décor and the bathroom suites and added to the luxurious feel and appeal of Rise Hall.
